Planning application submitted for Dashwood enhancements

Planning application submitted for Dashwood enhancements

BDL has submitted a planning application to Winchester City Council for enhanced public access to Dashwood, with the creation of a new 2.8km circular walk through the wider woodland area, plus new signage and benches.

The proposed path has been designed to use existing routes as far as possible, will allow all-weather access and will be of a “no-dig” construction, limiting potential root damage and disturbance to existing trees and ground flora.

A separate planning application is required because Dashwood falls within the jurisdiction of Winchester City Council. The plans for the woodland form an integral part of BDL’s comprehensive green infrastructure proposals for Welborne.
